After a scrumptious breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Oslo
This tour will involve staying at the cosy, most original place of the island, Foxdalen cabin. Beautifully located at the entrance of Fox valley, it is built in trapper's style and has a wood heated oven, taking you back to former days of chopping wood for cooking or burning. While in Longyearbyen, you can enjoy a relaxing stay before and after the expedition at the Coal Miner's Cabin, which offers you an accommodation experience of the town's miners post second world war. Rebuilt with modern but shared communal facilities, a stay here takes you back to days of a miner's life.
Experience the near deafening silence of the Arctic, as you mush though areas with little to no motorised transport. At the cabin a cosy dinner will be served, and the guide will regale you with stories from the area. A fantastic introduction to dog sledding expeditions, and a great overnight getaway!
This tour is suitable for children from eight years old and up, making this the ultimate adventure for families. It is also a great option for groups of friends that want to try something a little more adventurous than a day trip. No previous dog sledding experience is required to participate, but you should be in generally good health and physical shape to participate. During the trip the participants will be asked to help with, amongst other things, feeding the dogs and preparing for the tours.
